SILK SCARF: Deborah woman of torches, hand-dyed

Woman of Torches

Deborah — Hand-Dyed Silk Scarf

“Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, was judging Israel at that time. And she would sit under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the mountains of Ephraim. And the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.”
Judges 4:4–5 (NKJV)

Woman of Torches is inspired by Deborah—a prophetess, judge, and courageous woman whom God raised up to lead Israel in a critical hour.

  • Strong’s H3940: lappid = torch; lappidoth = torches (also translated as firebrand, burning lamp, or lightning)

Scripture identifies Deborah as the wife of Lapidoth. The Hebrew word lappid means torch, while lappidoth is associated with torches. This beautiful imagery has inspired the expression “Woman of Torches”—a woman carrying light, fire, courage, and prophetic purpose.

The vibrant colors of this hand-dyed silk scarf reflect that imagery. Deep blue, fiery orange, and fuchsia red flow together across the silk, creating a bold piece of wearable art inspired by a woman who was willing to arise when God called.
