Righteous (Tzedakah) Wisdom

“The mouths of the righteous utter wisdom, and their tongues speak what is just.” Psalm 37:30

A Word of Wisdom is a supernatural revelation given by the Holy Spirit that reveals God's divine plan, purpose, or direction. It is not wisdom acquired through natural learning, experience, or human reasoning. Rather, it is heavenly wisdom that comes from the Father of Lights, imparted by the Holy Spirit into the believer's spirit.

As this gift is expressed, the believer may receive insight concerning a future event, God's direction in a particular situation, or His divine purpose. At times, a Word of Wisdom may also come as loving correction, providing God's perspective and leading His people onto the right path.

This gift should not be confused with the gift of prophecy. While prophecy primarily brings edification, exhortation, and comfort (1 Corinthians 14:3), a Word of Wisdom unveils God's wisdom and counsel for a specific purpose or situation.

The Word of Wisdom often operates together with the Word of Knowledge, another revelatory gift of the Holy Spirit. A Word of Knowledge is a supernatural revelation of facts known only to God—revealing information that could not be discovered through natural means. Together, these two gifts work in harmony to reveal both God's knowledge and His wisdom, enabling believers to minister according to His will and purposes.
